73rd INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS

On Thursday, 15th August, 2019

AT TJIS, Kanpur

SALUTING THE SPIRIT OF INDIA WITH ZEAL, FERVOR AND RESPECT . . .
‘Our flag does not fly high because the wind moves it.

It flies high with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it.’

Independence Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and reverence at The Jain International School to mark the 73rd year of freedom from the clutches of British rule. On this patriotic occasion the little buddies and the Senior students portrayed a colourful spectacle of India’s vision through their performances.

The blissful morning of Independence Day dawned with zeal and fervor. To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the Principal, Respected Mr. M. K. Panda along with the Junior School Headmistress, Ms. Rekha Singh and Senior School Headmistress, Ms. Deepa Singh hoisted ‘The Tricolour’ with ceremonial sincerity and all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of their freedom.

This was followed by the cultural programme which included patriotic song and dance. The Head Boy Vedansh Jaiswal shared his views on the significance of the day. A poem to pay respect to both the occasions viz. Independence Day and Rakshabandhan was recited by Shaurya Sharad Shukla and Varad Singh from the senior school and Little Champs respectively. The participants spellbound the audience with their dance and Choir performance and also energized them with patriotic fervor by awakening their feelings towards their Mother Land and imbibing them with a strong feel of the bond of love.

The Principal, Mr. M.K. Panda gave the best wishes and blessings to the students with the message that the aim of Independence Day at TJIS is not only to commemorate sense of nationality with great enthusiasm, but, it is a day to educate the students about the freedom struggles which the Saviours underwent to give us the independence that we enjoy today. Mrs Rekha Singh, the Little champs Headmistress delivered the vote of thanks. The glorious day concluded with the recital of the national Song ‘ VandeMataram…..’ followed by savouring the tricolor sweets.

Overall, immense pride accompanied by a deep sense of patriotism manifested itself during the Independence Day Celebrations. This commemoration cannot be complete without the words by- Max Mueller (German Scholar)

‘If I were asked under what sky the human mind has most fully developed some of its choicest gifts, has most deeply pondered on the greatest problems of life, and has found solutions, I should point to India.”

BE THE CAUSE OF UNITY,

FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION,

FLAIR THE FLAG OF OUR NATION.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO ALL OF US!
