‘A library is not a luxury but one of the necessities of life’
Library serves as a central workshop of every educational institution which fosters the development of life-long learning abilities and love for reading in the students. It also provides teachers with instructional material and professional resources.
The Jain International School has two libraries: one for Little Champs i.e. for students Pre-primary, Primary and Junior Section and the other from classes 6th to 12th.
The library operations are computerized which include acquisition of books, cataloguing, circulation issue, return, renewal and reservation of books.
Our collection includes novels, biographies, fiction, as well as books on varied subject areas including general awareness, philosophy, ethics, language learning, personality development, religion, history, art and craft, cookery, sports, computers, science and other academic topics for examinations. We also have a good collection of books on latest teaching-learning methodology for our teachers’ reference.
While books are the heart of our collection, a myriad of visual and audio resources are available to enrich individual learning needs for all members of the school community. The use of online encyclopaedias and reference material in the library contributes immensely to the learning process.
The reading room is regularly updated with useful journals & newspapers for all ages, abilities & aptitudes.
