The presentations and Closing Ceremony were quite spectacular, finishing off what has been the most successful KSS Basket Ball Tournament.

The Jain International School successfully hosted the KSS Inter-school Basket Ball Tournament from 10th to 12th October 2017. This game has provided a platform to schools of Kanpur , bonding them in the spirit of equality and team play.  It was a three day tournament that concluded on 12th October, 2017 in the School Basketball Court.  The event was a grand success as around 120 students from ten renowned schools participated and gave a tough fight to their contesting teams.

In Pool A we had Puranchand Vidya Niketan, Woodbine Gardenia, School, Delhi Public School, Azad Nagar, Dr Virendra Swaroop Education Center, Shyam Nagar and Allen House School, Khalasi Lines.

Pool B consisted of teams from Harmilap Mission School, Sir Padampat Singhania Education Center, Guru Nanak Modern School, The Jain International School and Delhi Public School, Kalyanpur.

Mr Rajender Kanaujia, Ms Ruchi Yadav, Mr Ashok Singh Mr Saroj Rawat Mr Sheetla Tripathi and Mr Shubham were the officials for the event.

The host school Principal Mr M. K. Panda and Headmistress Mrs Soumee Sarkar welcomed the teams and the officials and declared the meet open.

Mrs Rachana Mohotra, Principal DPS, Azad Nagar, Kanpur, presided over the Tournament as The Observer and Chief Guest for the Final Day.

The host’s team The Jain International School & team of Dr Virendra Swaroop Education Center, Shyam Nagar showcased their talent in true spirit and grit, and proved themselves victorious for the Finals.

Respected Principal Mr. M.K. Panda, Head Mistress Mrs. Soumee Sarkar and Mrs Rachana Mohotra, applauded and felicitated the winning teams and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the participating teams and their officials.

Gaurav Singh of Dr VSEC, Shyam Nagar was declared the Best Player of the Tournament.

A big thank you must go to the organizing committee and all the volunteers who enthusiastically played their role in creating the success.
Every match, despite the score, was played out to the finish, with players, coaches, officials and supporters, delighted with their involvement.

Finally, special thanks go to the Sports Department for coordinating the 3 days Tournament gracefully.
