The Jain International School, Kanpur has created a specialized Career Guidance Cell- Lakshya wherein the senior students are counselled from time to time through workshops, seminars and lectures from specialists and experts in various fields. The Management is extremely vigilant and proactive in the need to provide its students with necessary guidance and counselling to decide their future course of life and we have been successful in our endeavours to a great extent.
Monday, 21st August, 2017, the senior students from classes 9th to 12th were gifted with the visit of Dr Gopal Krishna Mishra, Director of Soft Tech Private Ltd. and exxamm.com
The counselling workshop commenced with warm greetings to Gopal Sir from Respected Principal Mr M. K. Panda.
Gopal Sir started the counselling session by asking the students what they understood by the term ‘Career’ to which different students put forward their opinions. Sir explained the meaning of career as ‘to live and to let others live happily’. Sir guided the students over their subjects and told them to give importance to observation and enhance their thinking ability.
The students were baffled to know how the difficult concepts of Physics could be easily understood by simple observations. Further, Sir, very proficiently advised the students how to make their studies interesting and achieve their goals by pursuing their interests because if they follow their interests success will follow otherwise they will have to chase success, it will not follow. They should choose their career in the field they enjoy and not only for the sake of money otherwise they will start looking forward for weekends. If they choose their passion as their career they will look forward for Mondays.
In the end Respected Principal, Mr M. K. Panda thanked Dr Gopal Mishra for his benign presence and presented a token of love from TJIS Family.
Overall the workshop was a lifetime experience for the students where instead of information the importance of knowledge and its practical use was taught. It was very interactive and informative for our young champs and hope that it will prove to be fruitful for them. The students were given a web platform – exxamm.com where they can learn anytime.
