HAPPY SHRI KRISHNA JANAMASHTAMI

May Lord Krishna Shower on you

Blossoms of Love and Peace;

May the Divine Grace be with you

Now and Always…..

Tuesday, 15thAugust, 2017

Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna is celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm in India in the month of July or August. According to the Hindu calendar this religious festival is celebrated on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksh or the 8th day of the dark fortnight in the month of Bhadon.

Sri Krishna is considered as the one of the most powerful human incarnations of the Lord Vishnu. He was born around 5,200 years ago in Mathura. The sole objective of Sri Krishna's birth was to free the Earth from the evilness of demons. He played an important role in Mahabharata and propagated the theory of bhakti and good karma which are narrated deeply in the Bhagwat Geeta.

Krishna was born in the darkness of the night, into the locked confines of a jail. However, at the moment of His birth, all the guards fell asleep, the chains were broken and the barred doors gently opened. Similarly, as soon as Krishna-Awareness takes birth in our hearts, all darkness- Negativity fades. All chains - Ego, I, me & myself are broken. All prison doors we keep ourselves in-Caste, Religion, Profession, Relations, etc. are opened.

This is the Real Message and Essence of Janmashtami.

We, at The Jain International School believe in the holistic development of our studentso, varied events and festivals are organized to inculcate cultural and spiritual values in them.

To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami.’ was celebrated on Tuesday,15th August, 2017, with great enthusiasm and serene religiousness.

The auspicious event commenced with the Aarti of Radha and Lord Krishna by Respected  Chairman Mr Amarnath Agarwal, Managing Trustee Mr Kapil Agarwal and their family members, Principal Mr M.K. Panda and Headmistress Mrs Soumee Sarkar. This was  followed by devotional songssung by the Music Department and students. After the religious celebrations Prasad was distributed to all.
