Swimming sounds fun to those who swim for fun, but those who breathe it, who live in and out of the water, can only know the true meaning of swimming. Swimming is not only a sport but an exercise also. Competition in swimming takes more mental toughness to excel in than any other sport. To be ready for the competition you have to be mentally and physically fit.
At TJIS, the students are always trained and taught to be winners and this proved true at the East Zone Swimming Competition where our swimmers brought laurels to the school by winning 16 Gold, 19 Silver and 07 Bronze medals. There were 37 teams participating in the Tournament from all over East Zone with around 300 students.
From 20th September to 24th September, 20 students of The Jain International School participated in the CBSE EAST ZONE SWIMMING COMPETITION which was held at Ranchi. Our team overall bagged the Fourth Position by winning 42 Medals. 12 students have been selected for the Nationals which will be held at Bhopal.
The students were accompanied by their coaches Mr. Brijanand and Ms. Sita Sharma.
The Principal Mr. M.K. Panda congratulated the winners and felicitated them with medals.
It is indeed a proud moment for the entire TJIS family.
