Inter House Extempore Competition ( Held Virtually)

At TJIS, Kanpur

" ‘Speech is the mirror of the soul; as a man speaks, so he is’.

An Inter House Extempore Competition was conducted online for Group B (Classes VI to VIII)  and Group C (Classes IX to XII) to hone and polish effective communication skills and imbibe true spirit of learning and competition amongst students.

The esteemed judges of the event Honourable Principal Mr. M.K. Panda, Headmistresses (Senior and Junior Wing) Mrs. Deepa Singh and Mrs Rekha Singh respectively, judged the contestants on the criteria - relevance of content, diction, vocabulary, voice modulation and time-keeping.

Sanyukti Nigam held the reins of the event very skillfully till the end.

The participants delivered their speeches with great confidence and left no stone unturned to give in their best within the stipulated time.

The event concluded with the announcement of result by Principal Sir.

Extempore is the art of public speaking that is carried out without preparation or fore-thought. It puts to test one’s ability to think on the spot and also their spontaneity. Extempore is one such method which assists the students not only in thinking on their own but also in voicing their creative ideas with precision. This competition was intended to give an opportunity to the students to shake off their diffidence and to build up their self-confidence.
