GO GREEN - Earth Day Celebration

"Earth Day" reminds us to be better steward of our Earth.  It's celebrated Worldwide.

At TJIS, ''Earth Day" was celebrated with enthusiasm and all the kids participated in various activities and thereby learnt to value greenery around them.

The little Pukiepies along with Headmistress, Mrs. Rekha Singh and all the teachers were dressed up in green. The children were shown green colour objects, fruits and vegetables by their teacher Ms Payal Moolchandani. They were explained the importance of green vegetables that must be a part of everyday meal. They were also shown some green objects available at their homes. This helped to familiarize them with green colour easily – Learning by Doing.

Children made Bottle Planter and planted seeds and saplings in the planter under the able guidance of Ms Sujata Saini. On one hand, by re-using the plastic bottle they understood how to reuse the waste things that are harmful for the environment and on the other hand understood the value of planting trees. Their teacher Ms Surabhi Bhatnagar told them to plant trees on their Birthdays. The Little Champs enjoyed the activities on Green Day.

Honourable Principal Mr. M.K.Panda addressed them and told them that they should take care of the Mother Earth . The session concluded with Vote of Thanks by the Headmistress and all pledged on this important day to take care of their Earth .

Overall the virtual platform was Green-O-Green .
