The strategic, active engagement of students in opportunities to learn through doing and reflection on those activities empowers them to apply their theoretical knowledge to practical endeavours inside and outside of the classroom. To make the learning thorough, there is no better way than imparting the curriculum in a play-way method to the tiny tots. Thursday, 20th February, 2020 was the day when the Little Champs were going to learn about Good and Healthy Food vs Unhealthy and Junk Food through a Fancy Dress Competition. As the creativity of the parents unleashed and they joined hands with the teachers, the fancy dress competition indeed became a wonderful learning experience for the little ones that aided in building up their self confidence, expelling stage fear nevertheless it is always a pleasure to watch the toddlers dressed up as different characters and performing.
The children were attired as carrot, watermelon, pineapple, mango, banana, grapes, orange, potato, tomato, spinach, pizza, cold drink, maggi, burger and many other beautiful characters depicting healthy and unhealthy food.
The best part was when the little ones walked down the ramp and introduced themselves cheerfully. They were smartly dressed and full of enthusiasm and enthralled everybody with their endearing acts.
Headmistress Mrs. Rekha Singh and Ms. Richa Sharma were the judges for the event. What matters most in such events is not winning or losing, but participation. The competition proved to be a great learning experience for the students and gave them a platform to explore their hidden talents
