To Witness a Workshop

On International Dhokra Sculptor Making Workshop

"International Dhokra Sculpture Making Workshop" was organised at the Institute of Fine Arts at Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University Kanpur.

 

The able Art Faculty of The Jain International School selected 45 Skill handed, Fine Arts Students of the school, to be the spectators and learners of this Mega Event.

 

The group of students went to CSJMU to witness the skills of approximately 100 artists / sculptors from Sri Lanka and various other States of India who took part in the workshop and showcased their immense talents. Students witnessed Arcylic Painting, Oil Painting, Spray Paintings, Lino Art and Ceramic Sculptures. They were also shown how to make Metal sculptures, it's mould and melting process.

 

The speaking walls of the Art institute very well narrated the life of Lord Buddha through their wall paintings.

 

It was an excursion full of learning, excitement and enthusiasm. The students came back to the school premises, bubbling with energy and hands full of colours.
