Participating in sports can be a vital part of a student's education. Individual and team sports teach hard work, create healthy habits, and promote good sportsmanship and lifelong passions. Besides Football, cricket, basketball and other common school sports archery is now a passion for many students Archery is the art, sport, practice, or skill of using a bow to shoot arrows. Earlier archery was used for hunting and combat. In modern times, it is mainly a competitive sport and recreational activity. Thousands of students each year shoot archery as part of their daily school curriculum and compete at different levels.
The Archery team of The Jain International School consisting of Kopal Agarwal, Rajnandini Awasthi, Shaurya Omar, Tejaswini Pandey, Atharva Sethia, Deershikha Tewari, Prakhar Yadav, Kartik Soni and Umesh Yadav participated in the 9th Kanpur, Inter School, CBSE North Zone Archery Championship, Hosted By Gaurav Memorial International School, On 22nd January, 2020.
The TJIS Girls Archery Team won the Second Runner Up Position among 22 renowned schools and 328 students.
Kopal Agarwal of Class VI was awarded the ‘Best Player Award’.
