‘TO BE CLEAN IS TO BE CIVILIZED’
Children are more inclined to fall sick than adults, the reason being that children are in close contact with other children at daycare or school where germs are easily transmitted. Unfortunately, most children are not as conscious of personal hygiene as they should be which increases their risk of falling ill. Therefore, it becomes imperative for the schools to provide an arena where good hygiene can be demonstrated and implemented at its best and habits such as hand washing can become ingrained at a young age.
There's more to hygiene than just hand washing. Keeping the well being of our tiny tots in mind Little Champs at The Jain International School organized ‘We Learn to be Clean Activity’ on Thursday, 7th November, 2019, full of information for the Pre Primary students about personal hygiene and also how to keep their surroundings clean.
The tiny tots performed a skit wherein Jai, Aarohi and Aarna played the role of good child, bad child and Mother. The children learnt about the importance and necessity of cleanliness in their lives through it. They learnt to brush their teeth twice in a day, take a bath, comb their hair, wash their hands before and after every meal and washrooms, trim their nails, clean their ears by using an ear bud, etc. The children also brought various things used in cleanliness from their homes like toothpaste wrapper, soap wrapper, shampoo empty sachet, comb, tissue paper, etc and pasted these things in their scrap book as an activity.
Childhood is very good time of everyone’s life during which the habit of cleanliness can be practiced just like walking, speaking, running, reading, eating, etc under the careful and regular watch of the parents and teachers.
‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness.’
