At TJIS, Kanpur
“A Time For Celebration, A Time For Victory Of Good Over Evil, A Time When World Sees the Example Of Power Of Good. Let Us Continue The Same True Spirit. Blessings On Dussehra”
Dussehra, also called Vijayadashmi (or Bijoya in Bengal), is the culmination of the nine-day Navaratri celebrations. It is a festival that marks the killing of Ravan, his son Meghanath and brother Kumbhakarn, by Lord Ram. It is seen as the victory of good over evil.
Dussehra celebrates Ram’s victory over Ravan in a festival spread out over ten days. The story of Ram’s life is enacted in a folk art form called Ramlila. A special assembly was conducted on Friday,04 October, 2019, at The Jain International School to commemmorate Dussehra i.e. round the corner.
The programme began with the soulful ‘bhajan’ led by a beautiful poem narrated by our Little Champ Varad Pratap Singh of class II. Thereafter the students presented a short enactment of the story of King Harischandra and highlighted upon the virtue of truthfulness in life
A stupendous effort was put up by our Little buds who blossomed the stage by their amazing recitation on Life of Lord Rama.
As it is always said ‘All’s well that ends well’ same goes for our assembly which was ended by our gut-wrenching dancers who rocked the floor with their breath-taking garba performance .
Akansha Panda and Paras held the reins of the entire programme in an impeccable way till the end.
Honourable Principal Mr. M.K. Panda,Junior Headmistress Ms. Rekha Singh and Head Mistress Senior Mrs. Deepa Singh glorified the auspicious event with their benign presence.
The presence of TJIS Principal Advisor Mr Mr Amitabh Mohan was a cherry to the cake. Sir addressed the audience and congratulated the performers for the wonderful show put up by them.
‘This auspicious day reminds people of the fact that truth always wins and motivates them to follow the path of dharma’.
