Ganesh Chaturthi is a ten-day Hindu festival celebrated to honour the elephant-headed God Ganesha's birthday. He is the younger son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Ganesh Chaturthi is also known as Vinayak Chaturthi and Ganeshotsav .The festival starts on the fourth day of Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturthi, and ends after 10-11 days of its start.
The auspicious month of September marked its advent with the worshipping of Lord Ganesha. The Ganesh Temple in the school premises was religiously decorated and the Senior most member of TJIS Family Honourable Shri Sheo Narayan Ji, Chairman Shri Amarnath Agarwal Ji, Principal Mr M. K. Panda, Senior Headmistress Mrs Deepa singh , Junior Headmistress Mrs Rekha Singh performed the Pooja and Arti on Monday, 2nd September proclaiming the commencement of this holy day..
Our little Ganesha’s, the Pre Primary students enhanced the importance of this occasion by their presence. They were delighted to receive Modak and Panchamrit as Prasad.
Lord Ganesha will be worshipped with next ten days in the school premises with the same pious serenity and the festival will conclude with a hawan Ceremony.
Let Us Pray:
‘May Lord Ganesha,
Who has a curved trunk and a powerful body;
Who has the brilliance of a million suns;
Shower His Choicest Blessings on us.
May He remove all the problems from the actions we aim to achieve’ ______________________________________________________________________________
