Grandparents Day Celebrations

At Little Champs, TJIS, Kanpur

Grandparents are the family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest story tellers, and the keepers of tradition. Grandparents are the family’s strong foundation.

To honour the Grandparents TJIS celebrated Grandparents Day on Saturday 31^st August 2019. All the Grandparents were extended a warm welcome in a traditional way by their little ones thereafter pinning a heart on their heart was the symbolic of double love that they bestow on their grandchildren

The programme commenced with the auspicious “Lighting of the Lamp” by the Principal Mr. M. K. Panda, Senior Headmistress Mrs. Deepa Singh, Junior Headmistress Mrs. Rekha Singh and Grandparents. This was followed by a welcome song. Many power packed dance performances by students left the spectators spell bound and thoroughly mesmerized.

Many games were planned for our dear Senior members like Musical Chairs, Passing the Parcel, Button pool, etc in which our dear grandparents participated with childish enthusiasm. The winners were felicitated by the school authorities.

Principal Sir addressed the gathering and congratulated the students for putting up scintillating performances for their grandparents.

Junior Headmistress Mrs. Rekha Singh in her Vote of Thanks expressed her gratitude to the gathering for their benign presence and active participation.

Ms Richa Sharma held the reins of the event very successfully till the end.
