HAPPY SHRI KRISHNA JANAMASHTAMI
On Saturday, 24th August, 2019
At TJIS, Kanpur
“ Do Everything You Have To Do, But Not With Greed, Not With Ego, Not With Lust, Not With Envy But With Love, Compassion, Humility and Devotion...”
Krishna Janmashtami, also known as Krishnashtami, is observed on the eighth day of the dark half or Krishna Paksha in the month of Shraavana. Lord Krishna is known worldwide and revered as an avatar of God Vishnu.
To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna and to strengthen the traits of devotion, faith, unity and compassion in our students, varied programmes and events were conducted at The Jain International School on 24 August,2019, to celebrate the birth of Krishna, with great happiness and glee, to both jubilate and educate their young minds.
The fragrance of flowers, soothing aroma of camphor and the jingle of bells filled the air with mirth and spiritualism. While this religious importance is not lost, this day signifies a lot more to modern India in the forms of excitement, euphoria and an extraordinary bond between the devotee and the Almighty. The celebration that followed was truly entertaining and educating.
The students took their first step towards Janmashtami celebration in the form of excursion and celebration in the Primary Section. Students from classes P.G. to V went to ISKCON Temple on 19 August 2019, followed by a festivity on 23 August 2019 in the Little Champs. The Little Champs came traditionally dressed as Radha and Krishna and performed mesmerizing hymns and dances.
On 24th August the premises was decorated beautifully with flowers and Rangoli. The auspicious event commenced with devotional songs sung by the Music Department and students. Hymns sung by the students in praise of Lord Krishna mesmerised the gathering. The morning was Krishnamaya, resounding with melodious songs in the whole school premises. This was followed by the Aarti of Radha Krishna by Honourable Chairman, Shri Amarnath Agarwal, Managing Trustee, Mr. Kapil Agarwal and his family members, Principal, Mr. M. K. Panda and his family, Junior Headmistress, Mrs. Rekha Singh and Senior Headmistress, Mrs. Deepa Singh.
After the religious celebrations, Prasad was distributed to all.
May Lord Krishna Shower on you
Blossoms of Love and Peace;
May the Divine Grace be with you
Now and Always…..
