Blue Burst – The Rhyme Time
On Thursday, 22nd August, 2019
At The Little Champs, TJIS Kanpur
‘Kiddies paint their mood in shades of blue’
Let the blue sky meet the blue sea and all is blue for a time.”
The Pre Primary Section of The Little Champs at The Jain International school organized Blue Burst – The Blue Day on Thursday, 22nd August, 2019, to acquaint the tiny tots with the shades of blue. It was a pleasant and a cool blue day for the tiny tots.
Blue – the colour of loyalty, strength, wisdom and trust has a very positive impact on tiny tots bringing in harmony and brotherhood. The significance of blue colour was reiterated through a series of activities. The dress code and the décor of the day was blue.
The Little Champs arena was bursting with excitement and enthusiasm. The day was associated with ‘Rhyme Time’. All the children, clad in blue were all set to recite their rhymes with enthusiasm and confidence.
Nursery rhymes are just as important today as they were in the past, when we were of the same age as our kids, or even before, when our parents were small. Teaching small children nursery rhymes is an important part of their early language development.
As we all know, poem is meant for enjoyment. Beauty is the realm of the poetry, the children enjoy the beauty of expression, thoughts, feeling, rhyme, rhythm and music of words. Taking all these facts into consideration the children got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence. The children chose a variety of topics for their recitation like nature, trees, flower, mother, teacher, unity in diversity etc. with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm.
Blue Day was an amazing learning experience which had a long lasting effect on each student. Early identification of colours helped to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words which is an important part of a child’s development.
It was indeed a visual treat to see the good effects of blue colour on our little ones. All the tiny tots were felicitated with Certificates and a treat of chocolates as an appreciation for the efforts put in by them.
