Counselling goes on for life or at least until we reach retirement. The goal and main objective for the counseling sessions is to provide students with skills and knowledge they need to make important decisions throughout their lives. Career counselling goals and objectives can shape anyone’s future. It has potential to change outlook on life and everyone’s ability to succeed.

Career development is a lifelong process that actually starts the day we were born. From the day we are born, our likes and dislikes, our abilities, background and circumstances influence the type of career we choose. Career counselling is the process that will help every individual to understand and make the right choices not just for his career but for his life.

Keeping in mind the importance of Counselling sessions in a student’s life a career counseling workshop was organized by ‘Endeavour Group’ at The Jain International School, Kanpur, on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, to facilitate our senior students with career exploration, career introduction and motivational counselling.

The resource person for this session was Mr. Divya Tripathi the eminent Career Counsellor of Endeavour Group along with his team Mr. Simran Jeet, Mr. Vikas and Mr. Prakhar Gupta. They made the students understand the importance of knowing one’s potential and subject of interest before making a decision. The senior counsellor also laid stress on the right combination of subjects as per one’s aptitude which should be reflected in one’s academic performances.

Counsellors also shared information regarding leading job opportunities and various courses available. They urged the students not to make decisions based on family expectations and peer pressure. They guided the students to identify their interest and what they are good at.

The session concluded with the felicitation of the Endeavour team and speech of gratitude by the Honourable School Principal Mr. M.K. Panda. Overall the session was very informative and interactive.
