‘THE NEEDS OF A STUDENT’
HLS WORKSHOP
AT TJIS, KANPUR
ON
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 24, 2019
The team of HLS India is associated with Srinathji Group of Institutions for the past few years from now. Mr Amitabh Mohan, The Managing Director of Human Learning System (HLS), a celebrated Psychologist, Trainer and Human Resource Development (HRD) Consultant, India, is the Principal Advisor. During his routine visits, Sir never misses an opportunity to interact with the students of both, The Jain International School and The Jain World School and update them with the changes and counsels them for their better future.
On Wednesday, 24th April, 2019 a workshop was organized by HLS India where Ms Ranjini Das Gupta and Ms Neha Bagchi were the representatives of the same. They took individual class session for the Middle School i.e. classes VI, VII & VIII. Each class had an individual session which had segregated topics for counselling. They had an open discussion on ‘Anger Management’ with the students of class VI, on Adolescence with class VII and on ‘Peer Pressure’ with class VIII. Every student is blessed with different quality traits which may or may not cater to his academic needs. These needs are also called derived needs which are psychological. The job of a mentor is to facilitate the needs of the students by managing perception and delivering what is desired.
The workshop was very interactive and the students took full advantage of solving their queries.
The outcome of the workshop was that the students could comprehend the need of the day. They could infer how to try and fill it in a positive, constructive and appropriate way.
