By running an effective and most advanced cricket training program in a school along with the academic curriculum adds unprecedented value to highlight the School curriculum Academia.
Keeping in view the need and passion of the youth, Shrinathji Group of Institutions (SGI) has opened ‘The Jain Cricket Academy’ to develop the players' personal confidence and knowledge about the modern cricket techniques. Feeling part of the academy will be an invaluable experience for young players.
The Academy was inaugurated on Tuesday, 19th February, 2019. The renowned International Cricketer of India, Kuldeep Yadav gave it a prestigious beginning. The TJIS campus throbbed with excitement when the Celebrity Cricketer moved towards the inauguration arena. He was warmly greeted by TJIS Managing Trustee, Mr. Kapil Agarwal, TJIS Principal, Mr. M. K. Panda, TJWS Principal, Mrs. Alpana Sahai, TJIS Senior Headmistress, Mrs. Deepa Singh, Little Champs Headmistress, Mrs. Rekha Singh, the staff and students of TJIS and TJWS. This event speaks for the commitment that all of us in the school hold for the holistic development of our students.
Mr. Kuldeep Yadav addressed the young gathering aspiring for Cricket as their career and talked about his own experiences as a cricketer. He started as a fast bowler when he first joined a cricket academy in Kanpur, but was asked by his coach Mr. Kapil Pandey to switch to something much rarer - left-arm wrist-spin. The change wasn't smooth - Kuldeep admitted that he had even tried once - but he soon realised bowling left-arm wrist-spin was the way forward for him. His inspiration are his coach and his father who always motivated him in all situations. He stressed upon the fact that his father knew his calibre which he himself was unaware of and inspired him to work on those lines. His bowling style is Slow left-arm Chinaman and he is a left hand batsman.
Beyond the 22 yards, the wides and the no-balls, the fours and the sixes, the ducks and the centuries, the win and the loss, lies the inevitable element of cricket – a wave of emotions.
Cricket is a thrill both to watch and to play the game and its importance outshine than any sporting event. The torch lit by the International Cricketer of India would allow many to reach at the sixes of their lives.
