Children’s Day Celebration

At TJIS, Kanpur

Children's Day is celebrated on the 14^th of November in India as a tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who is fondly called Chacha Nehru for his love for the children. Apart from his role as a Freedom Fighter and Politician, Pandit Jawarharlal Nehru has left behind a legacy of education and development of children in the country. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru once said “The children of today will make the India of tomorrow. The way we bring them up will determine the future of the country”

 

The teachers and children remembered Pandit Jawarharlal Nehru, our first Prime Minister and celebrated the love that he had for all children with a host of fun-filled activities.

 

The morning commenced with a special assembly conducted by the teachers in the Assembly Hall of TJIS which was dedicated to their students. The children were completely immersed when they watched the teachers entertaining them with a thought for the day, melodious songs, etc. The assembly concluded with the heartiest Wishes and Blessings of the Principal, Mr. M.K. Panda. The children were thrilled to get a biscuit packet as a token of love and enjoyed them as much as the babies.

 

It was a day wherein fun and frolic dominated, after the grind and rigour of academics in the morning. To end the fun-filled day, the students of the Little Champs of Grades P.G. to V played many games like Letters Game, Musical Chair and Dancing Freeze. The pre-primary students also participated in many races like Hurdle Race, Balancing Race, Ball Fun, etc. The winners of the various games and races got lollipops and toffees. After playing games, the students watched a movie and had a nice gala time with their friends.

 

There was excitement in the air and the young ones were full of stories about their special day at school as they also got Free Fun City Coupons worth rupees 100.
