Teacher’s Day Celebration
At TJIS, Kanpur
On Wednesday, 5th September, 2018
September 5, Birth Anniversary of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, the Second President of India - all over India is celebrated as Teacher’s Day, since 1962 – a day to offer tribute to the teachers who burn themselves to give light to their students. Teacher's Day is celebrated to show our acknowledgement and recognition of the hard work put in by our teachers towards our study, society and country.
Students always look forward to Teacher's Day with a lot of anticipation, for the sheer spirit of the occasion. Acting as teachers, they get a fair idea of the responsibility and that they are so efficiently handled by their teachers. It requires a lot of hard work and dedication to be a good teacher and earn the affection of students at the same time.
At The Jain International School, the morning of 5th September dawned with many surprises for the teachers. This iconic day commenced with a Special Assembly conducted by the senior students of class 12th. The students played the role of the Principal Mr. M.K.Panda, Junior Headmistress, Ms. Rekha Singh and Senior Headmistress, Ms. Deepa Singh.
This was followed by a short cultural programme which commenced with paying tribute to Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan by lighting a lamp.
The cultural programme consisting of music, dance and games presented by the students left the teachers awestruck. They did not leave even a single stone unturned to entertain them. All the teachers were bestowed with titles suiting their personalities. The reigns of the entire event were very successfully held till the end by the Head Boy Divyanshu Raj and his companions.
Respected Principal Sir and Headmistress’ Ma’am thanked the students for such a grand felicitation and awarded Ms Arti Sacchan and Mr Gyan Gupta as the ‘Best Dressed Teachers’ of the day.
Principal Sir conferred best wishes to the teachers on this special occasion. He urged the teachers to move with a sense of pride and dignity and carry an air of self-respect. He further added that teaching is related directly to the society and there should be no compromise with quality education and discipline.
Life isn’t a matter of milestones but of moments. Today, the students gave the teachers those moments which they will cherish throughout the year. This was their way of thanking their teachers for guiding, supporting, inspiring and teaching them.
“A good teacher must be able to put himself in the place of those who find learning hard.”
“A good teacher, like a good entertainer first must hold his audience's attention, then he can teach his lesson.”
‘HAPPY TEACHERS DAY TO ALL THE WONDERFUL TEACHERS’
