Labour Day Celebrated

At TJIS, Kanpur

On Tuesday, 1st May, 2018

The Labour Day in India is celebrated in order to honor the contribution of working men and women. It is observed on the first day of the month of May. The Labour Day in India is also known as the May Day. May 1 corresponds to the International Workers' Day which is celebrated around the world.

At The Jain International School Labour’s Day was celebrated On Tuesday, 1st May, 2018, to express gratitude to the support Staff working in the school. The event was hosted by Blue Panthers. This is the day to pay tributes to our Supporting Staff without whom, nothing is complete. The celebrations started from Saturday, 28th April, when the students formally invited all with cards and tokens of love.

The eventful day commenced with the speech by Respected Principal Mr. M. K. Panda. Sir greeted the Support Staff and appreciated the services rendered by them and urged everyone present to give respect to them. Sir further told the students about the History of Labour Day.

This was followed by a Welcome Song by the students. The morning was full of fun and enthusiasm as the students had arranged many games for the Support Staff in which they took part with great zeal and fully enjoyed them. The anchors Abhivyakti Johari and Akash Verma held the reigns of the entire programme in their skilful hands.

The programme concluded with the Prize Distribution to the winners and ‘Thanksgiving’ by Respected Headmistress Mrs. Soumee Sarkar. Ma’am thanked the employees acknowledging their contributions and their irreplaceable inputs for the welfare of the school and motivated students to respect all such people without whose help, life would not be that easy.
