Ministry Of Road Transport Commences 29th National Road Safety Week from 23rd to 30th April, 2018, to create awareness for Traffic laws among the commuters.
To commemorate this week a Special Assembly was held at The Jain International School on Thursday, 26th April, 2018.The Assembly was conducted by Tanishtha Roy of Class 11th and her team. She spoke on the importance of observing Traffic Rules for secure and safe life. Shaurya Sharad Shukla of class 10th, very impressively enlightened the students about the Road Safety measures by quoting some incidents from today’s news headlines. He spoke about the role of commuters and administration on the roads.
The speakers of the day were Mrs Manisha, Principal, GHS, Rampur, Kalyanpur, Kanpur and Mr Anurag Shukla from RTO. They both threw light on the use of seat belts, speed limit, importance of driving on the right side, driving correctly on one-way road, threats on roads like overtaking, stunts and racing which are the causes of major accidents. Further they emphasized that children below 16 should not be allowed to drive.
A PPT was presented by Ms Nargis Kapoor along with the banners displayed by students on Road Safety Measures.
Respected Principal Mr. M. K. Panda extended a warm welcome to the elite guests and thanked them for their benign presence and informing the students about Road Safety Measures.
All the students were gifted bands engraved ‘Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha’. The motive behind celebrating Road Safety week is about the road safety while traveling on road means having planned, well-organized and professional way of traveling. People who travel in unprofessional way are requested to use road safety measures and follow traffic rules.
The Assembly concluded with the school Pledge and National Anthem.
