Back With a Bang!!!

One in four children who starts kindergarten is not ready for their first day in the classroom. Starting school can be exciting or stressful for three-year-olds and their parents. We wanted to make starting school an exciting, successful and happy experience so a “Welcome Party” was organized for all the tiny tots on Thursday, 6^th April, 2018.

The pre-primary students of the Little Champs of TJIS celebrated their first day at school with great enthusiasm. Teachers threw a ‘Welcome Party’ for every child to give them a joyous welcome on their first day at school. The celebration started with a beautiful presentation of the story ‘My First Day at School’. Their dancing and singing thrilled them and made them more excited and energized. The corridor was beautifully decorated with balloons with the theme ‘My First Day at School.’ They participated in colouring activities. They also played a game in which they had to take the ball from the ball pool and throw it in the same colour bucket.  They relished tasty sandwiches with juice as refreshment. They were extremely excited to carry home a shaded cap and a chocolate as a return gift. All these activities rejuvenated the entire environment and made the students feel comfortable. In all, it was a great way to get the school started off with a bang!

Such a Welcome to Kindergarten programme helped to prepare the tiny tots for a positive start to their school journey.
