Diwali Celebration of Pre-primary (On 16th October, 2017)
“Diwali is a festival full of sweet memories, sky full of fireworks, a mouth full of sweets, house full of diyas and a heart full of enjoyment!”
The tiny tots of TJIS had celebrated ‘Diwali’ with full zeal and zest. Everyone was dressed up in ethnic wear. The corridor was beautifully decorated with the theme of Diwali Puja with Goddess Laxmiji and Lord Ganeshaji. The area was well decorated with candles, diyas, lanterns, lamps, sweets and crackers. Artistic rangoli was made on the floor. The children merrily recited the Diwali rhyme “Diwali Roj Manaye’. They were explained about the reason of celebrating Diwali and the Do’s and Don’ts that we should follow on Diwali.
To celebrate this auspicious day, the toddlers enjoyed themselves by participating in a pottery activity where they made diyas out of clay and then decorated them with glitter. They also made attractive wall hangings. Then they relished the sweet gulabjamun and were extremely excited to carry back the handmade diyas as a return gift.
“It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness.”
