Ganesh Chaturthi which is also known as Vinayak Chaturthi and Ganeshotsav is a festival that felicitates Lord Ganesh’s Birthday, as he is remembered as the god of good beginnings, prosperity and obstacle remover. It starts on the fourth day of Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturthi, and ends after 11 days of its start. Lord Ganesha is considered as the first god to be worshipped.
To celebrate Lord Ganesha’s Birthday, a Special Assembly was conducted at The Jain International School on Friday, 25th August, 2017.
Respected Mrs Anoo Panda was the special guest for this festive morning.
The auspicious morning commenced with the routine Assembly by Class 12th S. This was followed by a mesmerizing song and dance performance glorifying Lord Ganesha. The energetic performance of the students filled the audience with excitement and festivity.
Komal Sikka of 11th S held the reigns of the event very successfully till the end. She enlightened the audience with the importance of this pious festival.
Respected Principal Mr M. K. Panda and Headmistress Mrs Soumee Sarkar expressed their gratitude to Mrs Anoo Panda for her gracious presence and appreciated the performances of the students. They wished all a very Happy Ganesh Chaturthi.
The festive morning concluded with the School Pledge by the Head Boy Ritesh Kumar Vimal and Head Girl Saloni Shukla followed by the National Anthem.
