At TJIS we believe that being a member of the Student Council will teach our children to work in tandem as a team, accountable for their actions and worthy of the trust reposed in them.
The Student Council for the session 2017-18 was ready to pledge themselves to the progress and integrity of the school in a joyful solemnity. The whole school was a witness to the grand ‘Investiture Ceremony’ on Thursday, 20th July, 2017 which instilled a sense of responsibility and pride in the office bearers.
The air was filled with excitement and enthusiasm when Respected Principal Mr M.K. Panda and Headmistress Ms Soumee Sarkar walked in to honour the newly elected Office Bearers.
The newly appointed Little Champs and Senior School Council Members were adorned with sash and badges and their respective flags. They administered the oath of office to Respected Principal Sir wherein they promised to discharge their duties earnestly and fulfil everyone’s expectations. Thereafter the entire school pledged to take the school to the zenith of success.
Honourable Principal Sir stressed on the need to become more focused in their goals and to inculcate leadership qualities to become a better person in life. He reminded them that with position comes responsibility towards themselves and towards their school and peers.
Respected Headmistress Ma’am proposed the Vote of Thanks. Ma’am invoked the newly appointed Council members to take up their responsibility with commitment and integrity as they are the torch bearers of all the values that the school stands for.

The Investiture Ceremony ended leaving behind an aura of joy and pride, instilling every newly elected Captain with a sense of zeal and determination to maintain the honour and dignity of their institution.
