Inter House Table Tennis Competition (11th July, 2017)
Table tennis, also known as Ping Pong, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball back and forth across a table using a small paddle. The game takes place on a hard table divided by a net. Players must allow a ball played toward them to bounce one time on their side of the table, and must return it so that it bounces on the opposite side at least once. Points are scored when a player fails to return the ball within the rules. Play is fast and demands quick reactions. Spinning the ball alters its trajectory and limits an opponent's options, giving the hitter a great advantage. When doing so the hitter has a better chance of scoring if the spin is successful.
The Inter House Table Tennis Competition was organized for the boys of Grades 1 to 5 of the Little Champs. Each house had two pairs of students for a knock out match. The students from all four houses showed enthusiasm and gave some stellar performances to kick off a very exciting sports calendar at TJIS. The students enjoyed it to the fullest without compromising the competitive aspect of it.
After some really close and nail biting finishes, the competition concluded with the final match. Here is the brief summary of the final score:-
