PARENT ORIENTATION PROGRAMME
CLASSES IX & X

‘Behind Every Young Child Who Believes In Himself Is a Parent Who Believed First’
Building effective partnerships between parents, families and schools to support children’s learning leads to improved learning outcomes. Parents are the first and continuing educators of their children. Keeping in mind the role of both parent and teacher in moulding a child’s personality, we, at The Jain International School, Kanpur regularly organise Workshops and Orientation Programmes to connect with the parents and acquaint them with the latest trends being adopted for learning and teaching.
On Saturday, 13th May, 2017 A Parent Orientation Programme was organised for the parents of Classes Ninth and Tenth to familiarize them, “As Partners in Progress” with the curriculum, Code of Conduct of the school, teaching methodologies, Tutorials, Co-scholastic Activities and the New Examination , Assessment and Report Card Pattern as revised by CBSE Board. The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the parents and Light Refreshment.
Honourable Principal, Mr M.K. Panda in his address laid stress on effective communication between the teachers & the parents and also sought their support and suggestions so that the children could be provided the best for their overall development. The first institution of a child where he learns is his home. If parents pay attention to their children, they make more scholastic achievements than those who are ignored. Sir urged the parents to give more time to their children and provide them a supportive environment in home. It was an interactive session and the parents were also acquainted to the Principal Advisor of the school, Mr Amitabh Mohan, Director, HLS, India.
The Orientation Programme proved to be an earnest endeavour made by the school in educating the parents to look after and guide their children in a proper manner. Teachers will educate and work with children at school but parents need to help, to expand upon the learning that is occurring in school and help their children prosper and succeed both academically and socially. The parents left with a satisfaction that their wards are in safe hands that will not only expand the world view of their children but also teach them to lead and do great things.
‘Family-school partnerships are re-defining the boundaries and functions of education. They enlarge parental capacity and create conditions in which children learn more effectively. In this way they take education beyond the school gates’
