Labour’s Day (1st May, 2017)
Labour’s Day (1st May, 2017)
“Genius begins great works; labour alone finishes them.”
Special days do come in our academic life such as memorable Teacher’s day or enjoyable Children’s Day but an extra – ordinary one such as “Co-workers Day” hit us unawares and left a sweet, permanent impression in our minds. This day is dedicated to the workers for their economic and social achievements.
“Labour is the only prayer that Nature answers.”
May Day is commemorated in India as Labour’s Day. We in our school also celebrate this day as Labour’s Day to remember the invaluable contribution to society, i.e., labourers. This time too it was celebrated with great zeal and gaiety by a small programme organized for them where they played various games and also won prizes for the same.
The students of Grades 1 to 5 made beautiful cards for the workers who help them at home and make their life easy and comfortable. Not only this, but on behalf of the Little Champs, we gave beautiful hand-made cards as a token of love for the labourers of our school. By doing so, we paid tribute to the contributions, workers have made to make our school strong and prosper.
“Without labour nothing prospers.”
“The end of labour is to gain leisure.”
