It is a matter of great concern and regret that every year innumerable people all over the country become victims of road rage and either lose their lives or are rendered handicapped. To create awareness among the people for traffic rules and thus drive safe the month of November is observed as ‘Traffic Awareness Month’ every year by the Traffic Police. School students are a special part of this campaign.
On Wednesday, 18th November a team of Traffic Police Officers headed by SP Traffic ShriSarvanandYadav visited The Jain International School and held a Seminar for the Senior Students. They were accompanied by ShriDhanji Ram, Service Manager(SM) UP Roadways and Principal of Indian Driving Training Institute.
MrsChandrani Banerjee, Principal Junior Wing and the Managing TrusteeMrKapilAgarwalextended their heartiest welcome to the honourable guests.
The students were well informed about the Traffic rules like wearing Helmets while driving, not using mobiles and TV’s, using seat belts, driving insured vehicles only, carrying license, using Zebra Crossing, following Traffic signals and many more. They weretold to be alert and concentrate while driving because 80% accidents occur due to the carelessness of the driver.
In the end Kapil Sir presented Mementos to the respectable guests.
This special day was observed with full seriousness and the students took an oath to observe traffic rulesand follow them strictly and drive safe.
