Immense pride accompanied by a deep sense of patriotism manifested itself during the Independence Day Celebrations as the junior and senior students of The Jain International School presented a colourful cultural programme on Saturday, 15th August, 2015.
The beautiful morning of Independence Day commenced with Prabhat Pheri organized by DainikJagran in which the school students along with the staff members marched proudly depicting intense love for their motherland. This was followed by the Flag hoisting by the Senior School Principal Mrs Ira Bhat.
The cultural programme included patriotic songs, dances and inspirational speeches by the students. The Junior School Principal MrsChandrani Banerjee expressed her views on Indias Independence and the responsibility of the youth to safe guard it under all conditions.
Independence Day, like any other Indian Festival is a day to commemorate with great enthusiasm and sense of nationality atTJIS. The programme concluded with the blessings of Mrs. Ira Bhat.
