LITTLE CHAMPS CRICKET TOURNAMENT

The cricket fever is on its boom and our tiny tots are not untouched  by it which was distinct when the two teams of Pre-Primary section stood in front of each other with high spirits to fight the game of bat and ball on the Little Champs ground of The Jain International Schoolon Friday, 13^th March 2015.

The sun was playing hide and seek when the two teams ‘Green Guavas’ and ‘Yellow Mangoes’ marched towards the play field for the toss. The Green Guavas attired in green T-shirts won the toss and chose to bat first. The match commenced with the opening batsman hitting a six and the Guavas were all out at 111 runs at 60 balls. The opponent team Yellow Mangoes scored 113 runs in 60 balls and were distinctly the winners.

All the members of the Yellow Mangoes team were awarded with Gold medals and Trophy and the Runner – Up Green Guavas received silver medals. Both the teams received lollipops as complimentary gifts.

AmitVikram Singh was declared ‘The Man of the Match’. He scored 30 runs in 6 balls.

‘The Man of the Series’ was AchintyaBhan Singh who bagged 3 wickets.

Last but not the least all our Little Cricketers were overjoyed to carry back home balls as return gifts.   

It was an eventful morning watching the tiny mangoes and guavas running after the ball with great energy and enthusiasm and winning applaud from their petite audience.
