‘ESPERANZA THE CARNIVAL’

The Jain International School, Kanpur created a history in the city by celebrating their Annual Day ESPERANZA THE CARNIVAL in a unique manner on Sunday, 23^rd November,2014. It was a celebration of Culture, Art, Creativity and Talent.  There were various events that catered to different levels. An air of anticipation and excitement could be sensed all around.

The bright morning dawned with a chain of events. On one hand the morning was decked up with competitions at LA COMPETENCIA in Art, Music, Literature and Sports for children of age group 03 to 14 years where as on the other hand the attraction was TJIS FETE with a variety of fun games in THE RECREATION ROMP and mouth-watering eateries in THE LAND OF MUNCH. The Inauguration and The Closing Ceremony at THE EXTRAVAGANCIA CULTURALwere full of rainbow coloured live performances on the stage by the school students.

 The mega event was inaugurated by ShriAshutoshPandey, IG Police, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Dr ArtiLalchandani who was the Guest of Honour for the Closing Ceremony. They awarded the academic winners and appreciated the efforts of the students and managements for putting up such amultifaceted event under one roof which symbolised the versatile personalities of the students.

Honourable IG advised the students to stay away from social sites and give more importance to parents and teachers in life who foster moral values in them.

Dr ArtiLalchandani also emphasised upon the role of parents in life. She said that no doubt, destiny frames the personality of our children but still parents have to keep a check on their activities.

Honourable Chairman Sir Mr Amar NathAgarwalJi felicitated the distinguished Guests with Tokens of Love.

The Inaugural Programme commenced with lighting of the auspicious lamp which was followed by Prathmeshwara -- Ganesh Stuti and Welcome Song and other mesmerising musical  performances by The Little Champs --The Liliput Show, Disneylacious Marathon, Unity Celebranza, Music Nirvana – in which the students presented music numbers on Karaoke and Ensemble the Choir were the attractions of the morning. The Little Champs took the spectators on a joy ride through La Parate as they paraded through the school campus greeting and felicitating the eminent guests and conveying the message of hope, oneness and unity through celebrations.

The closing Ceremony was all the more astounding. The attractions of the evening were Melody Mantra, Veer Maratha --Shivaji, RudraniNamostute depicting empowerment of women, OrquestaVivaz which paid a musical homage to Pancham Da the Great music Composer, Qawalli-a satire on traffic, The Spanish Extraveganzaand The Other Worldly Beingscaptivated the audience by  their rhythmic movements and subtle gestures.The Band of Boys astounded and appealed the viewers by their foot-tapping numbers musical talent.

The games for the parents and the Magic Show at intervals entertained the audience.

 The Lucky Raffle Draw during the event was sponsored by one of our Title Sponsors Gold’s Gym. The winners were awarded with prized coupons for availing the Gym’s facilities.

The Cracker Show added a cherry to the cake, a gem to the crown.

Students presented their talents to their best. Overall the event was a   mellifluous amalgamation of dance and music.

ESPERANZA meaning HOPE filled the people of Kanpur with hope that they can get everything under one roof—Fun, Food, Talent, Competition, Culture and Academics—NOW AND FOREVER.

The Principal Mrs. Ira Bhat concluded the evening by paying gratitude to the eminent guests for their kind presence.

Our sheer determination for success has brought us on the brink of perfection to envisage this day as the best memories for all present. We hope that everybody enjoyed this festival to the fullest."
