HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY.SERVICE ABOVE SELF.
PROMOTING EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION
THROUGH ‘SERVICE ABOVE SELF’
14th November, 2014
Before giving an element of celebration to Children’s day on 14th Nov. 2014 the students of our school added a new dimension to this special day by paying a visit an orphanage on 13th November and bringing smiles to the faces of neglected and underprivileged children. A generous voluntary contribution was made by the students which comprised of edibles, dried milk powder, clothes, beddings, toys, woollens, etc. This collection was handed over to children who are the inmates of the orphanage.
Truly there can be no better way of observing dear Cha-cha Nehru’s Birthday than inculcating in the school children values of life and ‘Service above Self’ should be the topmost priority of the day which is not without rewards. The greatest reward for someone involved in social service is the smiles on the faces of those whom he or she has helped and this added to the wealth of happiness on 14th November when the students received a very warm welcome by their Principal and teachers at school. A special assembly was conducted by the teachers whichfollowed by some fun games for their entertainment followed by their favourite breakfast. Overall the day was full of fun and frolic.
