IIT POSTER MAKING COMPETITION.
POSTER DESIGNING COMPETITION ON ROAD SAFETY

Realising the vulnerability of the children on our roads it is necessary to make the students aware of the hazards of the road as well as to develop an attitude of defensive road usage amongst them.
To inculcate the importance of Road Safety Rules in the school going students a Poster Designing Competition on Road Safety was piloted by students of IIT, Kanpur on Tuesday, 7th October, 2014. This event was to promote the UN Road Safety Campaign under the banner of ‘ANTARAGINI’, the Annual Cultural Festival of IIT, Kanpur.
The students from classes 1st to 12th participated in the contest with great zeal and enthusiasm and painted their innovation and creativity depicting slogans on Road Safety like:
- Don't use your mobile phone whilst driving
- Belt up in the back
- Don't drink and drive
- Always adhere to speed limits, etc.
The winners were as follows:
1st Gurbani Chandan Class VIII A
2nd Istuti Gupta Class IX A
3rd Saloni Shukla Class IX A
The winners were awarded with Appreciation Certificates and badges.
