The Jain International School started its career counselling cell Lakshya with the aim of advising and guiding the students to choose their profession for which time to time eminent personilities from different fields are invited to assist and counsel them.Recently a workshop was conducted by Captain VineetChaturvedi, Mr AakarshTripthi and Mr AdityaBajpai, officials from KCOLUMBUS, The Merchant Navy Institute and CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) and told the students in detail about the careers in Merchant navy and law.

It encourages the students to set their sights high, achieve to the best of their ability and take pride in all that they do. - Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a centralised test for admission to prominent National Law Universities in India. The test is taken after the Higher Secondary Examination or the 12th grade for admission to integrated under graduation programmes in Law and after Graduation in Law for Master of Laws(LL.M) programmes. A candidate should have obtained a Senior Secondary School/Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent certificate from a recognized Board with not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC and ST candidates) and should be below 20 years of age as on July 1, 2015 (22 years in case of SC and ST candidates) in order to be eligible for CLAT 2015. Candidates who are appearing or have appeared in the 10+2 examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear in CLAT 2015. However, such candidates are required to have passed the qualifying examination at the time of their admission and should be able to submit proofs in support of their claims.
The officials explained everything in details regarding the careers in Merchant Navy and Law. The final decision lies with the students.Overall it was quite an informative workshop.
