Children are one of the best gifts endowed upon us by God and raising them with the right values in present times is quite a challenging task. To acquaint and equip the students with the right parenting strategies a workshop on ‘Pro-active Parenting’ was held at The Jain International on Saturday, 22^nd February,2014.

The Key-Speaker was the Managing Director of Human Learning System(HLS)Mr Amitabh Mohan, a celebrated Psychologist, Trainer and Human Resource Development (HRD)Consultant, India. Mr Mohan has been counselling and training managers, doctors, bureaucrats, supervisors, NGO’s, co-ordinators, parents, teachers and students since 1992 and has more than 1200 counselling and training workshops, 200 articles and several research papers to his creditand has also been honoured by various National and International Organisations in this field.

This workshop aimed at providing the parents to learn to think out of the box so that they can provide a platform to their children from where they can take a leap into the world of wisdom with right aim and values. He focussed on using dynamic techniques of sharing a straight-forward, common sense approach on dealing with kids and to inculcate an attitude in parents for helping their children to operate from their strengths. The parents need to be pro-active and not reactive in their approach while dealing with their children.

The workshop was an open forum and the parents came up with their queries and problems which were pacified and sorted out by Mr Mohan.

As Mr Amitabh Mohan is associated with The Jain International School as the Principal Advisor. We assure our parents, that under his guidance we will be able to sort out the real and imaginary dilemmas of students, teachers and parents and analyse and motivate them. This is the beginning……………………….
