A Visit to Gurudwara organized by TJIS, On 14th November, 2024
" Celebrate the joy of childhood, embrace the innocence of children."
On the occasion of Children's Day, an educational excursion was organized for the pre-primary students to the Gurudwara at Nawabganj, Kanpur. The visit aimed to offer young learners insights into Sikh culture and traditions while celebrating the joy of learning in a new environment.
Upon arrival, the students received a warm welcome from the Gurudwara community members, who greeted them with love and affection. The serene and respectful atmosphere made the children feel comfortable and excited to learn.
The visit began with an introduction to Sikhism, where the students were told about the importance of selfless service, respect for all, and living in harmony. They were introduced to the holy book, Guru Granth Sahib , and learned about its significance as the spiritual guide for Sikhs. The children were fascinated as they observed the holy book being cared for with great reverence. Kada Prasad, a traditional offering, was distributed to all the students.
Overall, the excursion was a memorable experience, blending education with cultural awareness. It was an opportunity for the young students to learn about diversity and respect for different faiths, and they returned with a sense of curiosity and joy.
