An interactive Session on ‘Parenting in the Age of Mobile Addiction : Guiding kids to balance tech and life’ organised at TJIS, Kanpur On 19th October, 2024

As part of our commitment to holistic education and addressing the challenges faced by parents and students alike, The Jain International School, Kanpur organised an interactive session titled 'Parenting in the Age of Mobile Addiction: Guiding Kids to balance tech and life.' The session was held on October 19, 2024, coinciding with the Parent-Teacher Meeting providing an ideal platform for meaningful engagement between parents and educators.
The session was led by Honorable guest speaker, Mr. Amitabh Mohan, a renowned psychologist and Director, HLS India. Sir addressed the growing concern of mobile addiction among children and provided valuable insights on how parents can guide their children to maintain a healthy balance between technology use and other aspects of life.
He shared practical strategies for parents to set boundaries, encourage physical activities, and promote mindful use of devices.
The session was successfully conducted by the head girl, TJIS, Kanpur, Saumya Singh (Class XII )
The interactive nature of the session allowed parents to openly discuss their concerns and share experiences, making it a highly engaging and participative event.
Overall, the session was highly appreciated by the attendees, who found the guidance both timely and practical.
