Excursion to Mehi Nature Camp, Pangot, Nainital From 26th to 30th September,2024 Organised by TJIS, Kanpur

As September drew to a close, the students of grades VI to XII from TJIS set off for an adventurous trip to Mehi Nature Camp, Pangot, Nainital, their hearts filled with excitement as the hills of Uttarakhand welcomed them with open arms. The journey, winding through forests and valleys, was a promise of exploration, camaraderie, and personal growth.

The trip began with a scenic hike to a waterfall in Pangot, where students immersed themselves in the tranquility of nature, capturing moments of joy. The afternoon brought unexpected rain, but it didn’t dampen their spirits, as they enjoyed lively group games indoors, capped by a thrilling night walk through the dense, mysterious forest. On the second day, the adventure continued with heart-pounding activities like Tyrolean Traverse, Fox Flying, and Commando Bridge. These not only tested their physical endurance but also taught valuable lessons in teamwork, balance, and resilience. The evening brought the group together around a bonfire, with laughter and music echoing in the cool mountain air.

The final day took them to Nainital, where they visited the revered Naina Devi Temple and explored the bustling Tibetan market. After a peaceful lunch overlooking the Nainital Stadium’s breathtaking view, the students wandered Mall Road, soaking in the local culture. As the trip came to an end, they headed back to Kanpur, their journey punctuated by a delightful dinner at Kathgodam, returning with hearts full of memories, adventure, and lasting friendships.

This trip offered students an enriching blend of adventure, learning, and cultural exposure.
