Independence Day, under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, celebrated on 14th and 15th August, 2024 @TJIS, Kanpur.
" Salute the sacrifices, celebrate the freedom."
TJIS, Kanpur celebrated 78th Independence Day with great pride and joy. On 14th August, in order to pay the tribute to brave martyrs, the students enthusiastically participated in Poster Making and Essay Writing Competition.
Moreover, little pukiepies dressed themselves as famous freedom fighters and spoke their slogans with immense zeal.
On 15th August, The blissful morning commenced with the ceremonial flag hoisting by our Honourable Principal, Mrs. Deepa Singh, alongside Senior Coordinator, Mrs. Jyoti Johari and Coordinator, Little Champs, Mrs. Surabhi Mehrotra. This was followed by the National Anthem sung in unison.
To foster the sense of patriotism amongst TJIANS, a plethora of activities were organised in the school premises, the students delivered patriotic speeches in English and Hindi with keen interest and passion. Thereafter, students actively displayed various yoga asanas. The captivating dance performances by little champs with the attire depicting tricolor left the audience overwhelmed.
In addition to this, Our Honourable Principal, Mrs. Deepa Singh motivated and appreciated the students with her kind words and conducted the Quiz Session to boost up the knowledge of the students.
The highlight of the event was the duet singing of Rajnandini Awasthi and Shrishti Tripathi who entertained the audience with their melodious voice. The music teacher, Mrs Padmavati, also graced the stage with her tuneful singing of patriotic songs.
Sports captain, Manya Mishra administered the National pledge to the whole school.
The eventful day concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Admirable Coordinator, Little Champs, Mrs. Surabhi Mehrotra followed by a national song sung in unison.
