Community Service to Old Age Home

To understand the living conditions of the elderly residents and offering support and companionship, TJIS, Kanpur initiated a Community Service to the Old Age Home.
The purpose of the visit is to assess the over all well being and the living conditions of the elderly residents and to identify any challenges faced by the old age home and offer potential solutions and support.
Students and teachers engaged in conversations with the residents to learn about their life stories, experiences, and interests. They organised some recreational activities like music and dance performances to promote socialization and mental stimulation.
Through donation drive students distributed essential items such as clothing, toiletries and some non perishable food items and air cooler to make them more comfortable.
The visit to the Old Age Home provided valuable insights into the lives of the elderly residents and highlighted the importance of addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs. By implementing the suggested recommendations and fostering greater community support, we can work towards improving the quality of life for the elderly population in our community.
The day was filled with unforgettable moments.
