Maitri- A bond between parents and teachers

 Held in the month of January 

 Organised by TJIS, Kanpur

Connecting home and school makes us a great community of learners

 An Effective Parent- Teacher meeting was held in collaboration with TJIS, Kanpur where the teachers visited the student's home and met their parents to form trusting connections which become the basis for collaboration to support learning.

The concept behind relationship building home visits is simple: teachers and parents come together as equal partners to promote the child's holistic development.

 Engaging with family is outside of a school helps for much shared understanding and shows that teachers care about their students. At the same time home visits allow teachers to learn more about students backgrounds, interests, and life experiences which they can then draw on to improve their teaching.

Overall, it was a wonderful and interactive experience for the teachers and parents.
