The day at TJIS, Kanpur commenced with Morning Prayer and then the students, accompanied by teachers moved on for Plogging at Ganga Ghat.
At the Ghat, all worked under the guidance of Municipal Corporation.
The students came forward and removed the trash from the Ghats and dropped into the bins. The teachers escorted them in completing their task.
The Guest for the day was Dr. Regina Dube, who is the Head of Department (Water Management, Resource conservation and Adaptation to Climate Change) Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature, Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV). Ma'am received a hearty welcome from TJIS Team.
The day was very informative as the students learnt a lot about biodegradable and non-biodegradable trash and ofcourse about the cleanliness.
After seeing the Ghats of pious Ganges the students also agreed that we should not pollute Ganga water and keep our surroundings clean.
