Inter House Yoga Competition

At TJIS, Kanpur

Yoga, which has now become the soul of TJIS in its harmony, is bringing out the many characteristics of the yoga which is absolutely evident. Unlike the past, TJIS had once again raised the bar high by putting up an outstanding Inter House Yoga Competition. The Sports Department had significantly evolved, thus shaping itself to create interests and activity amongst the students. It had produced fine Yoga over the years, this was obvious in the Inter House Yoga Competition on 22^nd July, 2022.

An Inter House Yoga competition was organised at The Jain International School  on July 22, 2022. 24 contestants as a team across classes I to XII were selected to represent their respective houses.

The competition was held in three groups of boys and girls. Group A ( Classes I-V), Group B ( Classes VI-VIII) and Group C (Classes IX-XII). The event commenced by  Sports HOD Mr. Vikas Yadav who cordially welcomed esteemed Principal Mrs. Deepa Singh and Headmistress, Mrs. Rekha Singh. One by one all the groups were called on the stage to showcase varied Yoga asanas. Each group well represented their asanas with  proper postures, expressions and gestures.

The participants were adjudged by Mr. Brijanand Rajbhar, Mr. Shiv Kumar Sharma and Mr. Ram Kripal on the basis of flexibility, co-ordination, grace and correctness of posture. The performers were applauded and cheered

by the spectators. It was an enlightening experience for them.The spectacular performance and flawless  asanas by all houses left the audience  spellbound.

Declaration of results by the Principal Mrs. Deepa Singh, Headmistress, Mrs. Rekha Singh and IT Head , Mrs. Jyoti Johri echoed the atmosphere with enthusiasm and elation.
