8th International Yoga Day Celebration

Since its inception in the year 2015, June 21st is celebrated as The International Day of Yoga all over the world. This idea was proposed by our Honourable Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. He said, “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. and the nature.
International Yoga Day was observed at The Jain International School, Kanpur with great enthusiasm. Varied exciting activities were planned out related to Yoga from 14th June to 21st June 2022. The Students enthusiastically participated in Slogan Writing, Essay Writing Quiz Competition and many more.
21st June commenced with Pranayam and warm-up exercises.All present performed sitting and standing asanas under the able guidance of Mr Vikas Yadav.
Flamboyant students were encouraged to practice yoga on regular basis to remain fit and improve concentration.
Honourable Principal Mrs. Deepa Singh and Headmistress Mrs. Rekha Singh also contributed to the 8th Yoga Day celebration by actively taking part in it in order to enhance enthusiasm, zeal and vigour of the students. Entire School staff and students celebrated Yoga Day with exorbitant energy and buoyancy.
Excitement was at its peak during the whole week of celebration. Students were expounded on the utility and necessity of yoga to achieve a better life - physically, mentally and spiritually. It is rightly said,
“Yog swayam ki swayam ke madhyam se, swayam ki yatra hai.”
