BASANT PANCHMI CELEBRATION

At TJIS, KANPUR

“Basant Panchmi” is an occasion which marks the advent of the Spring Season and is also celebrated to worship Maa Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge and Wisdom. Yellow colour – representative of spiritual knowledge, is given importance on this day.

Basant Panchami was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm at The Jain International School, Kanpur. All assembled to pray and invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati to reach the epitome of knowledge.

The Officiating Principal Mrs. Deepa Singh and Headmistress Mrs. Rekha Singh lighted the auspicious lamp and the pooja commenced with  Saraswati Vandana, Bhajans and Saraswati Stuti. All sang the Aarti in unison which was followed by Prasad distribution.

The pious day was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm.
