Christmas Celebration
At The Jain International School, Kanpur
On 24th and 25th December, 2021.
“The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree is the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other”
Christmas - the festival of joy and happiness - a season not only of rejoicing but of reflection". The entire TJIS campus was Chrismassy for the past week with our little Champs, Senior students and the teachers involved in different activities like making snow man, Christmas trees, socks, bells and decorating every nook and corner of the school.
This year, TJIS Kanpur, celebrated the Christmas in a different way i.e. via virtual platform with the great spirit of joy and happiness. On 24th December Little Champs celebrated the festival by watching the video of the Birth of Jesus Christ. They made a Christmas Tree with ice Cream sticks, played Tambola and sang Christmas Carols winding up with a Cake Party.
That was not all…. The cold winter morning of 25th December, once again saw our audience all set - excited and happy to attend the virtual celebration of Christmas in Santa's Costume with the Cap.
The event commenced with the wonderful speech delivered by Aditya Raj Verma highlighting the importance of the festival. This was followed by Christmas Carol sung by the Little Champs.
The main attraction of the day was the enactment of the Native Scene of Christmas by the Senior Students that gave insight into the Birth of Jesus Christ. The play was very well choreographed by MS Anshu Sharma. The audience was awe struck with the entry of Santa Claus announced by the tinkling of Christmas Bells.
Officiating Principal Mrs. Deepa Singh and Headmistress Mrs Rekha Singh graced this special occasion by their benign presence and motivated and urged the students to be Santa Claus for the needy and cheer those faces from whom smiles are far away.
Gunjan Saxena held the reins of the event till the end successfully.
Christmas may be a day of feasting or of prayer but always it will be a day of remembrance - a day in which we think of everything we have ever loved..
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
